We start with a free phone or virtual consult. Here we get on the same page about what you’re looking for and what services we offer. At our first session, we walk through your space and revisit your vision. Depending on the project, we will sort through your belongings, implement organizational systems, or revisit systems to tweak them to fit your lifestyle. We work together the whole time to promote maintenance of each system after our time together ends.

This depends on the size and scope of the space, your personal decision making process, and the goals for your project. During your consult, we discuss estimates for different spaces, as well as any scheduling considerations.

What stays and what goes will always be your decision. My job is to ask supportive questions and provide down to earth feedback about your space so that we can figure out how to best serve your wishes.

Shelf Aware Organizing prioritizes sustainability whenever possible. We use textile recycling and donation centers to reduce the likelihood of past belongings ending up in landfills. For some items or collections, we can assist you in contacting sellers or appraisers.

It’s natural to be nervous when inviting someone into your home to organize your space. It’s great that you’re considering taking this step. We work hard to ensure that you feel good about each step of the process before moving forward, and prioritize empathy, validation, and lightheartedness to empower you as you work through your space.

Shelf Aware Organizing charges an hourly rate ranging from $60-$100 on an honor system based sliding scale.

It’s a good idea to start thinking about what you’d like to change about your space, but there’s no need to move, clean or do anything else hands on with the belongings in your space ahead of time. In fact, it’s most helpful for us to see exactly how you use the space in order to understand your current pursuits, pain points, and priorities.
